guitar’s roots are in Spain. It is thought to have been
invented by the people of Malaga. This early instrument was a
‘Four Course’ Guitar, from which the ukulele is derived. The
first Guitar was very small, and very originally strung with
four pair of strings. Each pair was called a course. One of the
most common Acoustic guitar is the classical guitar. The
classical guitar’s ancestor was the gittern from the medieval
times. Around the 1400s, the gittern developed into an
instrument which resembles a downsized version of the modern
classical guitar.
